Start your journey with a visit to the iconic Buddha Dordenma Statue in Thimphu, one of the largest Buddha statues in the world, offering stunning views of the valley. Continue to the scenic Dochula Pass, adorned with 108 stupas and offering breathtaking views of the eastern Himalayas. As you descend, visit the reconstructed Wangdue Phodrang Dzong, a symbol of Bhutan’s resilience. Phobjikha – Phobjikha

Stop by the Crane Center to learn about the endangered black-necked cranes that migrate here. After lunch, visit Shechen Nunnery, a spiritual retreat for Buddhist women, before exploring the remote villages, where you’ll connect with local farmers and their traditional practices. Also, visit the Goenpa Monastery, the largest monastery of Nyingmapa sect of Buddhism in the western part of Bhutan.
Phobjikha – Punakha
